TI's first products in the new CC33XX series include devices that support only Wi-Fi 6, as well as devices that support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connections in a single IC. The CC33XX series includes devices that support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 Bluetooth low energy. When connected to microcontrollers (mcus) or processors, CC33XX devices can provide secure internet of things (IoT-RRB- connections with reliable radio frequenRF (RF) performance for a variety of industrial markets such as grid infrastructure, medical and building automation.
The new SimpleLink CC3300 Wi-Fi 6 IC and CC3301 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 IC are based on Texas Instruments' growing line of wireless connectivity products. The 2.4ghz CC33XX device provides higher WI-FI network efficiency and stable connectivity across more than 230 access points, and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 OC to 105 OC. The device also allows designers to connect their iot edge nodes directly to home or business access points at affordable prices without the need for additional equipment. The Wi-Fi 6 kit, Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing with OFDMA technology and basic service set (BSS) coloring, provides fast and consistent network performance while connecting to more devices without congestion interference. The device also supports WI-FI protected access (WPA) security features, including new WPA3 encryption for personal and corporate networks and a secure boot feature with firmware authentication.
Simplelink CC3300 and CC3301 Wi-Fi 6 supporting ics can be easily connected to Texas Instruments and many other companies' MCU and processor support for Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS) . For example, the CC33XX product can be easily connected to AI-enabled processors such as Texas Instruments' new AM62A ARM Cortex Vision Processor, wi-Fi-enabled smart devices are reliably connected to the cloud in edge AI applications such as smart appliances and security cameras. Industrial design engineers can also use the TI CC3300 in conjunction with a host MCU, such as the TI 2.4 GHz CC2652R7 SimpleLink multi-protocol wireless MCU or AM243X MCU host system, with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth low power 5.3, Thread, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter protocol to achieve higher iot flexibility.
