2026-10-10
The 5G combination antenna is suitable for 5G 4X4 MIMO and WiFi 7 2X2 MIMO applications. The cellular 5G part of this combination antenna is equipped with four independent cables and supports 4X4 MIMO, covering almost all 5G, 4G LTE, and 3G spectrum worldwide. It also supports all wireless communication protocols, with a frequency range of 700 MHz to 6000 MHz, a maximum gain of 3.0 dBi, and omnidirectional radiation mode.
The WiFi part of this combination antenna supports the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz, and 7.125 GHz frequency bands, with a frequency range of 2100 MHz to 7200 MHz, a maximum gain of 3.0 dBi, and an omnidirectional radiation mode. This six in one combination antenna can meet all WiFi wireless communication needs.
Reflection coefficient measurement results
Figures 2 to 5 show the comprehensive measurement of the reflection coefficients S11, S21, S31, and S41 performance of the 5G antenna section (used for bandwidth verification). When using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) for measurement, the starting frequency is 500 MHz and the ending frequency is 8.5 GHz. As shown in Figure 2, the S11 of the antenna remains below -5 dB in most frequency ranges from 700 MHz to 7.2 GHz, and the measured values in all frequency bands are below -4.5 dB. These results demonstrate that the impedance bandwidth and operational capability of the antenna in the range of 700 MHz to 7.2 GHz are wider than the 700-6000 MHz required for 5G applications.
In order to further verify the isolation capability between the four different ports of the antenna, S21, S31, and S41 of the antenna were measured. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, the isolation capability between each port of the antenna remains at a level of 10 dB or higher throughout the entire 700 MHz to 7.2 GHz spectrum range. These isolation performances confirm that the 5G radiator inside the antenna can operate independently and maintain MIMO communication channel quality throughout the entire spectrum.
